Join Kingsley Surf Club for Weekly Surf Progression & Expert Coaching

Come and surf with Red and Charlie in our weekly adult surf club sessions, designed to help you improve technique, build confidence, and have fun in the water. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to refine your skills, these sessions provide personalised coaching in small groups, ensuring that every surfer gets the guidance they need to progress.

Meet Your Coaches

🏄‍♂️ Red – A local legend and ASI Level 3 Surf Coach with 20+ years of experience. A GB-caliber bodysurfer and all-round waterman, Red surfs any craft he can get his hands on and is passionate about sharing his knowledge.

🏄‍♂️ Charlie Unsworth – A competitive surfer from Braunton with 5 years of coaching experience, working with both grassroots and elite surfers. As a Level 2 ISA Surf Coach, he specialises in building technique  and surf fitness.

What to Expect

🌊 Guided Surf Sessions – Improve your wave selection, paddling, positioning, and technique all the way to performance surfing.

🔄 Small Group Coaching – Individual feedback and personalised progression follow up.

📈 Adaptable for All Levels – Whether you’re a beginner or experienced surfer, sessions will be tailored to your ability.

🛠 Equipment Provided – For the best fit and comfort, we recommend bringing your own equipment. If you need to borrow a wetsuit, gloves, and hood, please let us know your required sizes in advance.

👣 Boots Recommended – Like any sports shoes, it’s best to have your own boots for fit and comfort, alternatively we will be able to lend you some.

Session Details

📍 Meeting Point: Sandymere end of Northam Burrows, EX39 1XS (Look for the Kingsley trailer)

⏳ Time: Thursdays, 9:00 – 11:00 AM (Meet at 8:50 AM to be ready to surf at 9:00 AM)

👥 Limited Group Size – Ensuring focused attention and personalised coaching

🔒 Priority Booking:
Dates for the next half-term will open for booking in the last week of the current block, giving first refusal to current participants.

Kingsley Surf Club & Surfing England Membership

These sessions are run by Kingsley Surf Club, and we strongly advise participants to get a Surfing England membership for insurance and club benefits.
